I am dedicated to filling your childs day with activities that are age related and help them build their confidence.
Most My aim is to provide a safe, caring and home from home environment for your child. I will encourage your child to learn autonomously and as part of a group, be able to make their own choices and decisions and develop to their full potential. I acknowledge that you the parents are the primary carers of your child and I will work closely with you to gain knowledge of your child and their experiences.
Being a childminder means I am different from a nursery as I can only look after a certain amount of children at any one time and therefore I can offer lots of individual attention to your child. I also provide a homelike environment, which ensures your child has all the comforts and security of a home setting as well as having other children to play with. I look after children of mixed age so your child will learn to be comfortable around older and younger children. I see children through from babies, to starting nursery where I drop off and collect and then on to primary school where I also offer a before and after school service.
Whilst your child is in my care they will participate in lots of different activities such as role-play, dress up, crafts, stories, cooking, dancing, and lots, lots more! I believe in children learning through play experiences and realise that it is important to offer them a large variety of activities to take part in. Most of our free time is spent outdoors in the local woods and parks.
As a childminder I can look after your child as if they were at home, we do things such as shopping, going on outings and educational visits. Also play outings including soft play, the park and so on. We also attend the local toddler groups and Bookbug sessions at least once a week which allows your child the experience of interacting with a larger group of children, beneficial for starting school. For older children I can transport them to and from their playgroup / school and help them with homework. My most important aim is to ensure all children in my care are happy, educated, safe, secure and enjoy their childhood to the fullest.
